The Instant Film Project
The Instant Film Project is a worldwide community of Instant Film photographers.
In today's digital age, there's a certain charm in the art of instant film photography. Instant cameras, with their ability to produce tangible prints in minutes, evoke a sense of nostalgia and wonder. For avid travelers, these cameras become cherished companions, capturing fleeting moments in remote landscapes and cities. This is the story of the Instant Film Project came to life out of a deep love for instant film and a passion for exploration.
It all began during the pandemic when I went on a trip to my favorite place on earth…..Death Valley. It’s probably not on the top of most people’s destination lists, but for me it’s a place of vast space where I can reset my mind and soul. I told my friend that I wanted to take a Polaroid of a coyote. I knew the chances were VERY slim to say the least. That day it happened, there was a coyote crossing the street and we slowed down, he lingered long enough for me to snap a Polaroid! It was a bucket list moment for me and that was the moment The Instant Film Project started.
Although it isn’t just about the destinations; I have met some amazing people along the way, the stories shared, and the moments that unfold unexpectedly. Each Polaroid tells a story, frozen in time, waiting to be revisited and cherished for years to come.
